Millstream Rotates Diamond Drill Head 15 degrees West From S-07-13 (Az 5.00) to Intersect 3.8 Metres of 6.05% Copper in Drill Hole S-07-14 (Az 350) at its Potter Property in North Eastern Ontario

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 17, 2007) - Millstream Mines Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:MLM)(FRANKFURT:NJD) is pleased to report that in drill hole S-07-14, the first of three holes drilled on Azimuth 350 to test the western extension of the "stacked" massive sulphide zones, has intersected 2 distinct intervals of very rich base metal values. A detailed accounting of the assay returns from S-07-14 with previously released S-07-13 (see PR Oct. 11, 07) are as follows:

Management is extremely encouraged with these intervals that extend the western limits of the steeply dipping massive sulphide "stacked" zone structure at Potter. The calculated lateral distance along strike of the massive sulphide intersections between Drill Hole S-07-14 and that of Drill Hole S-07-13 is 120+ metres. Millstream's consultant geologist and Qualified Person for the Potter Property, Mr. Dave Gamble, P Geo., discloses, "The drilling done thus far has not closed off the massive sulphide "stacked" structure along strike to the east nor to the west. It remains open in both those directions as well as down plunge to depth. Also, it remains open in the shallower regions of this mineralized structure (above the 335m bottom mine level) in what has been interpreted as parallel zones recently discovered to the north and the south of the past east-west trending mine workings (see PR's Mar. 8, 2007 and Mar. 30, 2007)."

Millstream's drilling program continues to expand the "stacked" mineralized massive sulphide zones located at the Potter Property. The past producing property is found in the highly prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt in the Kidd-Munro Assemblage near the town of Matheson in north eastern Ontario, Canada. The Potter volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) type deposit is located midway between the Kidd Creek VMS deposit and the Horne VMS deposit with their respective smelter complexes.

Sample preparation and analyses for this release were conducted by Swastika Labs in Swastika, Ontario on split drill core supplied by Millstream. Dave Gamble, P.Geo. and Edward Bettiol, P. Eng, both consultants of Millstream, are the Qualified Persons as described in National Instrument 43-101 for the Potter Mine Project. They have reviewed this report and press release with company management.
