Milwaukee FastPark and Relax Raises Money, Food for America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE, WI--(Marketwire - September 14, 2009) - FastPark and Relax, an off-site airport parking company located at the Milwaukee International Airport, and its customers are raising money and food for the America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin. The company's second annual food drive will take place Sept. 14 through Oct. 11. All items will be donated to America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin, a member of Feeding America, the largest food bank network in the country. FastPark and Relax will donate $1 for every pound of non-perishable food donated by customers.

Food banks across the country are struggling to keep up with demand this year. According to Feeding America, the demand for food assistance has risen 30 percent in the past year.

"We received such a tremendous response from our customers last year during our first food drive," said Melanie Chavez, chief marketing officer at FastPark, "that we couldn't imagine not doing it again this year. We hope to once again be able to contribute and make a significant impact in our community."

FastPark and Relax is conducting similar food drives at each of its off-site airport parking facilities across the country.

Collectively, the company donated nearly 5,000 pounds of food to food banks in 2008. FastPark's monetary match will help to feed even more people in need this year.
