Mini-Bulk Sample Processing Underway at Brauna, Brazil-First Diamond Results Expected by Year-End

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 1, 2006) - Majescor Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MAJ) (40% interest) and joint venture partner Vaaldiam Resources Ltd. (TSX:VAA) (60% interest) are pleased to report that the excavation of mini-bulk kimberlite samples from the 1.7 hectare Brauna 3 pipe and the 1.0 hectare Brauna 7 pipe has been completed, and that the processing of the samples through Vaaldiam's dense media separation (DMS) plant is proceeding smoothly.

Approximately 50 tonnes of saprolitic kimberlite has been collected from each of the two Brauna pipes through a series of vertical shafts excavated below the 3 to 5 metre thick calcrete cover which overlies the pipes. The extraction of the saprolitic kimberlite from the 10 to 15 metre deep shafts allowed the partners to maximize the sample coarseness and help minimize diamond breakage.

To provide for an efficient turnaround time of the mini-bulk sampling results, a small DMS plant was constructed which is being utilized by the joint venture to process the mini-bulk kimberlite samples. The diamond recovery plant consists of a crushing and feed circuit, a 300 kilogram per hour dense media module, and a secure diamond recovery circuit. Most of the components of the recovery plant have been designed as "hands-off" to ensure the security of the sample treatment process. The plant is currently processing between 1.5 and 2.0 tonnes of kimberlite per day, with the first mini-bulk sample results expected by year-end.
