Mini Magic Launches on Sony Ericsson Facebook Page

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2010) - Mini Magic, a brand new application showcasing the miniature virtues of the latest android smartphones the Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, has just been unveiled on the Sony Ericsson Facebook page.

The application, which focuses on all things miniature, has two different components. The first allows fans of the brand on Facebook to build and customize their own miniature avatar images, to be downloaded and used as their own profile image on Facebook. Users can select exactly how they want the different components of their miniature to look - with features ranging from hats and hair to miniature footwear – using a simple tool within the app.

The second component is a photo gallery competition, where users are asked to submit images of the miniature things in the world that appeal to them the most. Users can then invite their extended networks and any other users of the page to vote for their entry. The pictures gaining the most votes will be submitted to a judging panel who will then pick ten lucky winners, each receiving a brand new Xperia™ X10 mini or X10 mini pro.

Ben Padley, Head of Digital and CRM at Sony Ericsson, said: "The Mini Magic campaign highlights everything miniature, focusing on the core feature of both the Xperia™ X10 mini and mini pro – their size. The compact nature of the X10 mini and mini pro handsets allows one hand use and easy storage, along with the numerous benefits offered by the Android platform."

Fans of the competition can also get regular updates on the Mini Magic campaign from the Sony Ericsson Twitter feed. For those fans who are more interested in video content, they can also check out the Sony Ericsson YouTube channel, which houses an array of videos from product guides to the latest promotions and adverts.
