Media Advisory: Minister Blaney Joins Normandy Youth Delegation as They Pay Tribute to Canadian Soldiers

BEAUCEVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 29, 2011) - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will join youth of the Association du Souvenir des Frères Westlake at a ceremony to honour Canadian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in Normandy during the Second World War.

The youth delegation is made up of French youth who are visiting Canada on a pilgrimage to honour the memory of Canadian soldiers. The ceremony will take place at the cenotaph of the Régiment de la Chaudière in Beauceville.

Time: 11:00 a.m.

Veterans and members of the Régiment de la Chaudière will also attend the ceremony.
