Minister Finley Addresses Defence and Security Industries at CANSEC 2015

Defence Procurement Strategy in Action-Creating Jobs and Generating Economic Growth

Today, the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, addressed representatives of the defence and security industries at CANSEC 2015.

Minister Finley talked about the Defence Procurement Strategy and how it is being implemented in the case of the Canadian Surface Combatant project. The Minister also talked about upcoming procurement milestones and highlighted Economic Action Plan 2015's commitment to increase the analytical capacity needed to support the Defence Procurement Strategy.

Additionally, the Minister announced that there will be no user fee for the Controlled Goods Program this year.
