OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2012) - The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, today announced three contract awards for general maintenance at 19 Wing Comox. The overall value of the contracts is approximately $1.22 million.
"The Government of Canada is determined to improve infrastructure across the Canadian Armed Forces and is moving forward on these much needed projects," said Minister MacKay.
The contract awards for general maintenance include:
- the minor recapitalization of "JJ" style housing which was awarded to Comox Consolidators Limited for $437 000;
- upgrades to siding on Department of National Defence housing which was awarded to Hand and Hammer Contracting for $229 400; and
- the dredging of the Quadra Marina which was awarded to JJM Construction Limited for $557 808.
