OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 4, 2013) - The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, today announced the appointment of Dr. Ron Wallace as a permanent (full-time) member of the National Energy Board (NEB).

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Wallace to the National Energy Board," said Minister Oliver. "Dr. Wallace's extensive experience in pipeline and oil and gas environmental assessments and regulatory enforcement, as well as his work with Aboriginal communities on energy-related regulatory issues, will benefit the Board in its important work going forward."

Dr. Wallace was Vice-Chairman of the Alberta Environmental Monitoring Management Board. His recent regulatory and senior business management experience includes serving as Chief Operations Officer of the Nunavut Resources Corporation and more recently as Executive Director of the Northwest Territories Water Board.
