OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada's Labour Minister, today congratulated the Halifax Employers Association, acting on behalf of the Port of Halifax, and the Council of the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) Locals for successfully reaching a collective agreement.

Negotiated agreements are in the best interest of the organization, employees, businesses and the Canadian economy.
