Minnesota Court Grants Conditional Certification and Judicial Notice in Ameriprise Overtime Lawsuit Brought by Nichols Kaster, PLLP

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA--(Marketwire - September 23, 2010) -  On September 20, 2010, Judge Richard Kyle of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota conditionally certified a class of employees who worked for Ameriprise out of the company's Minneapolis call center over the past three years. The Plaintiffs, current and former call-center employees in the company's service delivery group, allege that they were not paid for time that they spent logging into and out of their computer and telephone systems each day. As a result, Plaintiffs allege that they worked overtime hours for which they were not compensated and that they are entitled to unpaid overtime wages.

The case is entitled Lyons, et al. v. Ameriprise Financial, Inc., No. 0:10-cv-00503-RHK-JJK. Plaintiffs are represented by Donald H. Nichols and Robert L. Schug from Nichols Kaster, PLLP, which has offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota and San Francisco, California.
