MINO Wireless Announces Mobile VoIP BlackBerry Solution for Enterprise Firms

New BlackBerry Solution to Lower International Calling Costs by Up to 70%

ORLANDO, FL and SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 8, 2007 -- MINO Wireless, a pioneer in mobile VoIP technology, today announced the first mobile VoIP enterprise solution tailored for the BlackBerry. MINO's enterprise solution for the BlackBerry is based the highly successful MINO Mobile™ software, which is in use by 200,000 individual MINO customers, and provides a robust, easy-to-use mobile VoIP-enabled platform that delivers exceptional cost savings of up to 70% on international calls. MINO is showcasing its solution at its kiosk (#420) at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2007 event in Orlando this week, May 8-10.

"MINO Wireless is the first company to launch enterprise-focused VOIP-enabled calling for mobile devices. Business users and consumers simply load the MINO Call™ calling software onto their BlackBerrys, either through a company's BlackBerry Enterprise Server or as an individual over-the-air download," said Jing Liu, CEO and Founder of MINO Wireless. "You can direct dial and save, or with just two clicks a user can dial international numbers out of their phonebook without having to use clumsy PIN codes or access menus. The company's technology uses the Internet connection on their BlackBerry devices to set-up a VoIP-enabled mobile call over the PLMN/PSTN and IP infrastructure to dramatically reduce the cost of international calls."

The MINO solution has been designed for ease of deployment and maintenance for an enterprise's BlackBerry devices. The MINO software resides on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and can be "pushed" down to a user's BlackBerry device, letting companies decide how and when to distribute the software. A management application allows complete visibility into individual calling logs, billing and other account information. Calls are extremely easy for users to make, because MINO is integrated with their BlackBerry address book. Users can also select that the call be charged to the enterprise or to their individual account. This capability is expected to greatly reduce the number of personal calls that are billed to corporate accounts.

"Companies are looking for new technologies to cut costs and enhance their productivity, as evidenced by the push towards Unified Communications and the blending of multiple platforms such as VoIP, IM, and mobile phones, said Rebecca Swensen, Research Analyst, VoIP Services for IDC. "MINO is a good example of this trend, with a solution that leverages existing PLMN/PSTN and VoIP infrastructure to deliver cost savings for companies with global calling needs."
