Mint Announces New Executive Director of Mint Capital LLC and Mint Capital SPC

Mint Technology Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MIT) ("Mint" or the "Company") announces today that Prakash Hariharan, has agreed to join the Board of Mint Capital LLC and Mint Capital SPC with effect from February 1, 2013 as an Executive Director. Mr. Hariharan will be actively involved in the future strategic direction of both business units including their capital structure and funding needs. Mint Capital is the Company's recently launched microfinance subsidiary.

Mr. Hariharan has been a well-known portfolio manager for Front Street Capital which he joined in 2005. Mr. Hariharan is a leading expert in credit analysis and is a regular speaker on BNN as a recognized expert in credit. In additional, Mr. Hariharan has been an active manager in growth portfolios, particularly related to technology and agriculture. He managed the Front Street Growth and Income Class portfolios. He also acted as one of the primary co-portfolio managers of the Front Street Diversified Income Class portfolio, with combined assets in excess of $400m. The Front Street Diversified Fund has been Morning Star 5 rated and Fund Data A rated during various periods and forms a core portfolio for Front Street products. Mr. Hariharan was previously with Dominion Bond Rating Services ("DBRS"), analyzing and rating structured investment products, corporate credit and asset-backed securities. During that period, he was a lead analyst at DBRS in rating a number of asset-backed securities, split-share and other derivative products. He holds a financial engineering degree from York University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering.
