TORONTO--(Marketwire - February 25, 2008) - Mint Technology Corp. (TSX-V: MIT) ("Mint") is pleased to announce it has successfully completed its security audit and achieved full certification as a Level 1 Service Provider under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

"We are very pleased to provide our partners and card holders with this announcement of PCI certification," said Frank Maduri, President and CEO of Mint Technology Corp. Achieving PCI certification shows Mint's commitment to providing the highest level of security and peace of mind to all of our card holders."

More information on the PCI Data Security Standard and the PCI Security Standards Council may be found at the following web address:

The PCI Data Security Standard represents a common set of industry tools and measurements to help ensure the safe handling of card holder information and credit card data. Initially created by aligning Visa's Account Information Security (AIS)/Cardholder Information Security (CISP) programs with MasterCard's Site Data Protection (SDP) program, the standard provides a framework for developing a robust account data security process -- including preventing, detecting and reacting to security incidents. In September 2006, the PCI Security Standards Council ("PCI SSC") became the recognized credit card industry standards organization to own, maintain and distribute the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and all its supporting documentation.
