In conjunction with the announcement, the resort is offering visitors an interactive way to experience the transformation first-hand.

There visitors will find a variety of fun and interactive ways to discover and experience The Volcano, including a video channel highlighting the creative process, a blog featuring construction updates, and a chance to win a trip to the unveiling event this December.

Giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the creation process, the video channel hosts clips and interviews with team members on the project. Hear the story behind the music from Grammy Award-winning Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and Indian musical virtuoso Zakir Hussain, who have signed on to create and perform a one-of-a-kind soundtrack arranged exclusively for The Mirage. Also, learn about the design process and latest innovations used to create The Volcano's fire effects from WET, the water design firm responsible for The Fountains of Bellagio.

To celebrate the nearly 20 years The Mirage Volcano has been entertaining tourists, visitors are invited to enter The Mirage Volcano Memories Contest and win a trip to see the new Volcano erupt this December.
