Mirantis Launches World's First Synchronized, Instructor-Led Online OpenStack Professional Training Courses

Based on Mirantis Training's Classroom-Led Instruction, Mirantis Virtual Training Offers Online Students the Same High-Quality Professional Curriculum Led by Mirantis Engineers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2015) - Mirantis, the pure-play OpenStack Company, today announced a new professional OpenStack training course format: Mirantis Virtual Training. This new course offering is available for the first time online and is synchronized with the company's classroom-led OpenStack Fundamentals (OS50) and OpenStack Bootcamp I (OS100) courses, offering the exact same curriculum, lab-based exercises, and opportunity to interact in real-time with Mirantis instructors.

Since 2011, Mirantis Training for OpenStack has been the proven way to learn and become professionally certified in OpenStack. Eighty eight percent* of students rate it as better than other professional industry trainings due to the quality and expertise of its instructors, its hands-on format, and its "pure" OpenStack curriculum that is removed of vendor bias. Mirantis Training has helped more than 6,000 professionals advance their knowledge of OpenStack with hands-on instruction in how to stand up private clouds.

"Our goal is to provide students with the option to take a high quality, interactive OpenStack training course in the convenience of their home or office," said Lee Xie, Head of Training, Mirantis. "Currently, there is a high demand for virtual training options. We provide students with a more convenient training experience that will not only save on travel expenses, but time too"

There are many benefits to taking advantage of Mirantis' virtual training option. Students can save on travel and lodging expenses while still participating in Mirantis Training's interactive environment. During the course, students participate virtually in actual real-world courses, drawing on virtual whiteboards. They can can take polls and surveys, have the ability to virtually raise their hand to ask questions, and have access to all theory and lab materials. The goal is to create a virtual training experience that is as similar as possible to a hands-on, classroom-led course.

Currently, Mirantis is offering Virtual Training for our OpenStack Fundamentals (OS50) and OpenStack Bootcamp I (OS100) classes. The first class will be held on April 21, 2015. The first courses in Mirantis Virtual Training instruction will be available to students in the United States and Canada. View the complete schedule for Mirantis Virtual Training.
