Mirantis President and CEO Alex Freedland to Host an Outsourcing Panel at the Third Annual US Russian Technology Symposium at Stanford University, February 9th and 10th, 2006

FOSTER CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 9, 2006 -- Mirantis is proud to participate in the Third Annual US-Russian Technology Symposium at Stanford University, the largest forum of its kind on the West Coast. Mirantis CEO Alex Freedland has been selected by the organizers to host an outsourcing panel called Outsourcing: Cost Savings or R&D Partnership that will take place in the main hall on Friday, February 10th at 9 AM.

"Mirantis and Alex Freedland have been supporting our event for the last three years, and I am happy that Alex has agreed to host our Outsourcing panel, which is becoming even more important now that Russia is being put on the map next to India and China as one of the preeminent locations for science and technology in the world. Alex has been one of the pioneers of R&D Outsourcing to Russia, and Mirantis has brought several leading US Technology companies to Russia and also helped to expand the activities of the companies operating there," said Alexandra Johnson, President of USRTS.

Russia is rapidly emerging as an offshore destination of choice for companies wishing to expand their core development capabilities by utilizing the vast scientific and technical resources available. Mirantis, Inc. has been at the forefront of that movement and has built its reputation by working with early adopters and global technology leaders.

"Mirantis is happy to take part as every year over 300 business executives, investors, policy makers and technologies participate in this Summit, and this year even a higher attendance is expected. During this summit there will be examples, success stories and lessons learned by the Hi-Tech Companies who have had years of co-operation with Russian and East European developers. I hope that the audience will find our insights interesting and useful," said Alex Freedland, CEO of Mirantis.

Mirantis has the advantage of being established in Russia as one of the premier companies offering clients seeking to build a long-term technology presence in Russia the first successful Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) system. Assuring them a trouble-free transition from a Mirantis dedicated TDC to a customer owned overseas operation.

Mirantis, as one of the featured players in the Russian software IT industry, looks forward to being a part of this event and wishes it success in the years to come.
