Mirapoint and Firepond Announce Success With CPQ OnDemand

Complex implementation Uses Many Firepond CPQ OnDemand Advanced Features

(OTCBB: FPND) announced today that Mirapoint, the secure messaging expert, has a fully implemented solution on the Firepond CPQ OnDemand service. Mirapoint has integrated Firepond CPQ OnDemand with Salesforce (from to allow its salespeople to accurately configure, price and quote Mirapoint products.

Mirapoint, based in Sunnyvale, CA, provides appliance-based secure infrastructure and serves over 115 million mailboxes worldwide. After using another vendor for its configuration and quoting tool for approximately two years, Mirapoint turned to Firepond's true multi-tenant, on-demand application to address their need for an easy-to-use sales interface and flexible and intuitive data maintenance application. Firepond CPQ OnDemand assists thousands of salespeople around the world to manage their complex product and pricing data in local currencies and languages delivering customized, branded and accurate proposals.

The Mirapoint implementation uses many Firepond CPQ OnDemand features including the ability to export data to a custom price book, complex rule-driven pricing and discounting, and approval processes that are triggered by discount thresholds. The exported data can be acquired by another integrated system for use in order entry.

Firepond CPQ OnDemand generates reports that present the proposed products to a customer in a professional and understandable format. The Mirapoint reports were created using Firepond's new OnDemand Proposal Plug-in application which greatly simplifies the task of acquiring data and including it in reports.
