Mirapoint Expands Flexible Archiving to Customers, OEMs, Hosted/SaaS & SME/SMB

Additional Product Lines Enhance Mirapoint's Enterprise Email Solutions Serving and Securing 120M Mailboxes

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2008) - Mirapoint®, the secure-messaging experts, today announced how its acquisition of Intradyn will strengthen Mirapoint's platform flexibility and enterprise support.

The strategic acquisition allows Mirapoint to expand its product line, which now includes a suite of active email archiving appliances, as well as award-winning mailbox management, message-store optimization, archiving, and eDiscovery products.

"Network security has always been of paramount importance in the enterprise realm. Mirapoint's acquisition of Intradyn gives its customers the one-two punch of secure messaging alongside secure archiving capabilities," said Terrence Brewton, network security analyst for Frost & Sullivan.

Industry-compliant requirements have increased the market's demand for bulletproof archiving solutions.

"To meet the exacting standards to the enterprise marketplace, we have acquired the best-in-the-business archiving company. Starting now, Mirapoint offers the leading variety of comprehensive email solutions worldwide," said Jeff Witous, CEO of Mirapoint.

This comprehensive approach to communications and storage will positively affect not only Mirapoint customers, but also the OEM and SMB/SME realms.

"Burton Group believes that communications channels, such as secure messaging, should be closely integrated with archiving and compliance solutions to deliver the functionality needed to meet compliance and audit discovery requirements. By adding the Intradyn compliance solutions to Mirapoint's product offerings, Mirapoint has taken a big step towards meeting these needs, especially for the OEM and SMB/SME marketplaces," said Randall Gamby, analyst for Burton Group.

Mirapoint's customers may now choose from even more powerful solutions for meeting compliance regulations affecting businesses of all sizes. Its expanded product line works within MS Outlook or a web browser, and supports Exchange, GroupWise, Domino, and other email servers.

The acquisition of Intradyn also brings the most recent archiving technology in-house, giving Mirapoint all of the newest software tools needed to develop new and custom products at low total cost of ownership.

"We have already established ourselves as a world leader in the Enterprise email solution business with an all-in-one email solution in a box. Our customers utilize our flexible, trustworthy platform to store manifold attachments or files, including multimedia, voicemail, fax, SMS, and the like," said Jeff Witous, CEO of Mirapoint.

The combined company now serves more than 2,200 customers, including the distribution/OEM of more than 800 companies that trust Intradyn's archiving solutions, making it one of the largest archiving companies in the marketplace.

Now, Mirapoint is exceptionally well positioned to expand its product lines and customer-support capabilities.

"Mirapoint's very competitive product mix is just what the hosted/SaaS and SMB markets have been looking for," said Brent Bowlby, CEO of Intradyn.

"Additionally, in these tough and uncertain economic times, Mirapoint's well-proven and documented TCO is now more attractive than ever," said Witous.
