MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Presents "EntrepreNous: The Roles of Customer Privacy and Trust in Innovation"

Expert Panel to Discuss Data Breach Epidemic and How to Maintain a Customer's Trust

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Mar 26, 2013) - The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will host an Innovation Series Event, "EntrepreNous: The Roles of Customer Privacy and Trust in Innovation," on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

In recent months, you would be hard-pressed to look at a news source and not see a story about the current data breach epidemic. With more and more Personally Identifiable Information (PII) making its way through services and apps, comes a greater responsibility for entrepreneurs to ensure secure customer data.

This Innovations Series will feature a panel of experts ranging from venture investment in innovation and security, to data breach laws and regulations; to watchdog media; and data security and protective technologies. While openness and sharing undoubtedly improves business, it's important for entrepreneurs to be prepared to fend off the data sharks in order maintain trust in their customer relationships. This event will offer guidance to entrepreneurs about the risks and responsibilities of building a business and becoming a custodian of customer data.
