Mitchell Adds GPS Functionality to WorkCenter(TM) Dispatch

Industry's Leading End-to-End Integrated Physical Damage Solution Adds GPS Integration With Garmin to Improve Field Appraiser Productivity

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 20, 2010) -  Mitchell International, Inc., a leading provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the Property & Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, today announced that Mitchell's WorkCenter™ Dispatch now includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) capability to help enable insurers to further increase the efficiency and productivity of their field operations. WorkCenter's new GPS enhancement interfaces with select nüvi models available from Garmin International.

WorkCenter Dispatch's integration with Garmin can improve field appraiser productivity in several ways and is easy to implement. One of the major benefits of the integration is that it eliminates the need for field appraisers to manually enter addresses into their GPS device for each assignment reduces errors and improve timeliness.

Once field appraisers install the Garmin communicator plug-in, they can send their assignments from their mobile itinerary board to their GPS device with the click of a button. Assignments on the GPS device are kept in a separate folder within the Favorite menu for easy retrieval. In addition, the assignments in the GPS device include important information such as claim number, appointment date and time, owner name, address, phone number, and priority -- eliminating the need for the appraiser to print out assignments or go back to the mobile itinerary board application.

"We're really excited to bring this new feature to the market and help insurers further improve efficiency, which in the end is also a benefit to their customers," said Paul Rosenstein, Mitchell's Vice President of Claims Solutions. "The GPS integration with Garmin can improve dispatch operations by simplifying the distribution of claims assignment information -- thereby speeding appraiser workflow, reducing claims cycle time and improving resource utilization."

WorkCenter Dispatch is an integrated component of Mitchell's industry-leading WorkCenter solution, an end-to-end, physical damage claims settlement workspace. WorkCenter powers physical damage claims processing needs including assignment, repairable estimating, total loss valuation, review, repair management, and reporting.
