EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - RED The Agency has entered into an agreement to merge Edmonton-based MKM (Margaret Kool Marketing) into its existing operations. The two full-service advertising agencies have a combined staff of 40 and annual gross revenues of more than $20 million, including media expenditures. Both are privately owned, independent agencies.

RED The Agency was founded in Edmonton in 2001 by partners Lori Billey and Monique Fikar-Janower. Randy Cronin joined as partner and Director of Strategy in 2003, followed by Creative Director, Ryan Kelly in 2007. The agency opened its Vancouver office in 2007.

MKM clients include Merit Contractors Association, the Alberta Construction Safety Association, Medicine Shoppe Canada, King's University College and University of Alberta International.
RED has built a reputation on the work of its award-winning creative team and has an expanding presence in online, social and interactive media.
