MLB Advanced Media and Ensequence Sign Three-Year Deal to Deliver Groundbreaking Interactive Television Experiences to Baseball Fans

The Emmy Award-Winning MLB.TV Mosaic Continues to Evolve and Deliver the Most Innovative Sports Experience Available Online

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, and Ensequence, the interactive TV company, today announced a three-year extension of their partnership to work jointly to deliver the Emmy Award winning MLB.TV Mosaic. Ensequence and MLBAM have been working together for the past three years and recently launched an upgraded version of MLB.TV to coincide with baseball's Opening Day.

"Since 2006, we've worked with MLB.com to create new technologies to support their business objectives and make the fan experience more immersive. We're consistently pushing the boundaries of where fans can take their interactive TV viewing experience with the MLB.TV Mosaic," said Dalen Harrison, Ensequence CEO. "Our three-year contract demonstrates the commitment MLB and Ensequence have to continue to partner in delivering the most exciting sports application on the Web."

The MLB.TV Mosaic powered by Ensequence gives baseball fans around the world more ways to watch their favorite sport, including a completely interactive, groundbreaking and video-rich user interface. This season, fans can enjoy even higher quality video and 16:9 video feeds while selecting from a comprehensive selection of live, final and preview games at the top of the screen. Using the exclusive drag and drop feature, fans view up to six live games at once and personalize their video mosaic configuration. To watch a game full-screen, viewers just double-click on the live video.

"When we set out to develop the MLB Mosaic, one of our key objectives was to create a truly unique interactive television experience, which would allow our passionate fans to watch baseball in a whole new way. Ensequence has been a valuable partner in helping us achieve this goal," said Justin Shaffer, senior vice president, new media, MLB.com. "Ensequence has pushed the envelope on what we have been able to create, and in some cases invented new technologies to meet our needs. Today, MLB is the only sports league able to deliver such an immersive experience."

The MLB.com application allows fans to follow their favorite players and teams with interactive player trackers and fantasy baseball alerts. The player tracker allows fans to load their fantasy roster and favorite teams into the application. When something happens in a live game featuring one of the tracked players, a real-time alert notifies the viewer and allows them to instantly click over to that game so they don't miss a single play. The application also offers fans complete on-demand functionality. During times when live games aren't available, they can watch on-demand games, outtakes from the previous night's games and archived footage of every game dating back to 2005.

The application is available now at MLB.TV. The subscription for the premium package costs $119.95 for the season, or $19.95 per month. Ensequence will demonstrate the application May 18-20 at booth 1305 at The Cable Show in New Orleans.
