MMHA Conference Scheduled for Mid-October


OKEMOS, MI--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2015) - There will be something novel and exciting on the agenda for Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) members attending the 74th Annual MMHA conference at the MotorCity Casino-Hotel, Detroit, October 19-20, 2015.

New this year will be the MMHA Member Awards -- a program designed to recognize the exceptional marketing and communications efforts of our members. Members in good standing are encouraged to enter their businesses into this inaugural awards program. Categories include best community entrance, best model home staging, best community event or activity, best member sales event or activity, best member website and best member advertisement. Winners will receive recognition and an award for display purposes. Entries must be received by September 21, 2015.

"The MMHA conference is important for members because this is where news, ideas and concepts are exchanged and discussed," said Tim DeWitt, executive director of MMHA. "A lot of crucial information is distributed at this event that is essential to the success of the manufactured housing industry in Michigan."

Featured speakers include Liz Keegan from the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan, Darren Krolewski with Datacomp and Debbie Ostrander from the Department of Environmental Quality. Important legislative updates by governmental liaison Tom Hoisington of Public Affairs Associates while Rick Robinson from MHI will discuss national industry issues. No MMHA conference would be complete without the engaging "Legally Speaking" panel session featuring I. Matthew Miller, Swistak Levine, PC and Matthew Paletz, Paletz Law Firm, PC, moderated by MMHA attorney Bill Perrone of the law firm Dykema. 

All attendees are invited to the October 19 reception for networking and socializing.

For MMHA members in good standing, full registration cost for the conference, including reception, starts at $160 for the first person, subsequent co-workers are $135.
