MMM Hosts Webinar on Americans with Disabilities Act

White House Official, EEOC Commissioner to Speak

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Jun 12, 2012) - Two high-ranking Washington officials will participate in a live webinar this month on legal aspects of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP will host the event.

Kareem Dale, Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy, and EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum will address issues that affect all U.S. employers.

Dale, who coordinates the administration's efforts on this issue, will discuss President Obama's employment goals for Americans with disabilities. Commissioner Feldblum played key roles in drafting both the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act as well as its more recent 2008 amendments.

"It will be very interesting to hear the government's direct perspective on ADA issues," said MMM employment attorney Brian Harris, who will moderate the discussion.

"Especially in this challenging economy, it's extremely important for business leaders to stay current," added Clyde Mize, who co-chairs the firm's Diversity Committee with attorney Matt Sours. "It's rare to have direct access to individuals such as Mr. Dale and Commissioner Feldblum."

The free online seminar will he held Monday, June 18 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST. For more information or to register, contact Kate Pearch at Morris, Manning & Martin.
