MMPI Canada: The Edmonton Real Estate Forum Examines the City's Current Real Estate Landscape and Economic Outlook

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - May 2, 2012) - The annual Edmonton Real Estate Forum will take place on May 10, 2012 at the Shaw Conference Centre. The Forum will welcome industry professionals from across the country to share insight on pressing issues that face Edmonton's real estate community.

The event will feature highly-acclaimed asset managers, brokers, corporate real estate executives, developers and investors. Following the opening remarks given by Forum Chairman, Phil Milroy, delegates will hear from Mario Lefebvre, Director of the Centre for Municipal Studies for The Conference Board of Canada, as he examines the economic fundamentals that are driving the Canadian economy and the performance of Edmonton and Alberta.

Delegates will also hear from a panel of representatives from Edmonton-based companies such as Paul Douglas, CEO of PCL Constructors Inc., who will speak about the benefits of investing in Edmonton. Keynote speakers will share their own trusted business formulas including what has propelled them to be successful leaders in Edmonton and throughout the province. The panel will also discuss the growing labour issues and how they see them being addressed going forward.

The conference will wrap up with delegates learning about the impact of U.S. retailers and leasing in the Edmonton market from a panel including Lec Mroczek, Manager of Real Estate & Development for Tim Hortons. Key topics will include how retailers are performing in the improving economy, what new retailers are setting up in Edmonton and what impact U.S. retailers have had on Canadian businesses.
