MMX Discloses Technical Report of MMX Minas-Rio's Mineral Resources

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL--(Marketwire - March 12, 2008) - MMX Mineração e Metálicos S.A.
(BOVESPA: MMXM3) (TSX : XMM ) ("MMX") hereby informs its shareholders and
investors that a new Technical Report of MMX Minas-Rio's mineral resources
has been concluded.
The report contains updated and audited technical information, from
geological research held until November 2007. MMX Minas-Rio will continue
to carry out its drilling campaign in 2008 and 2009.
The audit of the resources was carried out according to the standards set
by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM
Standards) and by the National Instrument 43-101 of the Canadian Securities
Administrators (NI 43-101). SRK Consulting, a company specialized in
geology, mining and mineral resources determination, was responsible for
the audit.
MMX's mining department has prepared a document -- Explanatory Notes to the
Certification of Resources Report -- containing the necessary information
on the technical report.
