Mobclix and Gap Search for the Next Big iPhone App

Developers Compete for Chance to Design App for Gap Among Other Prizes

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - June 9, 2009) - Mobclix, (www.mobclix.com), the only mobile applications platform to couple real-time analytics with a yield optimization advertising solution and Gap, one of the world's most iconic brands, today announced the launch of a new contest for developers that will give them the chance to design the next big iPhone app for Gap. The premise of the contest is simple -- create an app that embodies Gap's classic, casual American style! Apps will be judged on originality, innovation, ease of use and customer appeal. There is no specific theme for the app; however, the app should be directed toward Gap's target customers -- individuals in their late 20s and early 30s who breathe popular culture and value creativity.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

  • Each week, a favorite app will be chosen from new submissions and will be featured on the Mobclix web site. The community votes on the People's Choice winning app and a panel of expert judges will help Gap and Mobclix choose the Grand Prize winner. Apps will be judged on originality, innovation, ease of use, and customer appeal. As you brainstorm ideas, keep in mind the following things that Gap is known for: denim, color, music, individuality and reinvented classics. Contest ends September 1, 2009.
