Mobify Introduces Safari Desktop Push Notifications

Helps Retailers Engage With Website Customers With Simple New Channel to Deliver Timely, Personalized Messages Direct to Safari Browsers

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - Dec 15, 2015) - Mobify today introduced a powerful new way for retailers to keep customers engaged with their websites with the availability of the Mobify Web Engagement Messaging push notification service for Safari desktop users. Push notifications are short messages that can be sent to customers anytime, even if the browser is closed. The service is available immediately and can be quickly added to a retail website template with no additional software or plug-ins required.

Web push notifications allow consumers to opt-in to timely updates from sites they love without downloading an app or checking email, allowing retailers to connect them with customized, engaging content. In addition to new support for Safari desktop, Mobify Web Engagement Messaging runs on Google Chrome for Android and is also supported on Chrome desktop, for a total reach of nearly 60% of all users.
