The Android platform has seen increasing gains in Canada. A recent survey by Ipsos-Reid found that phones running the Android operating system account for 36 per cent of the Canadian mobile market compared to 29 per cent for Apple's iPhone and 27 per cent for Research in Motion's BlackBerry. Android's share has grown 10 percentage points since a previous survey in January.
