Mobile University Adds Retail Panel, New Speakers and Launches WAP Site

Momentum Building as Conference Approaches; Various Interactive Mobile Activities Planned

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 16, 2010) -  With only one month left to go before Mobile University brings together the country's leading mobile marketing experts, agencies and brands, the conference organizers are excited to announce a closing retail panel and the launch of a mobile WAP site. Mobile University is a one-day, interactive mobile marketing educational event being put on by the Heartland Mobile Council (HMC) at the Spertus Museum in Chicago on April 28, 2010.

The retail panel will close the conference and be moderated by Scot Havrilla, VP, Account Director Euro RSCG. Panelists will include Andrew Koven, President of E-Commerce and Customer Experience for Steve Madden Shoes. In addition, the mobile marketing panel will be moderated by Josh Grau, who handles marketing and sales business development for Google/YouTube.

"The intent of the retail panel is to move from theory into real mobile marketing practice," said Scot Havrilla, VP and Account Director, Euro RSCG. "The robust discussion with some of today's top retailers will revolve around what they are doing in the space, what they are learning, and how it is influencing some of their marketing decisions."

350 senior-level executives in the marketing and technology industries -- including agencies, brand managers and technology providers -- are expected to attend Mobile University. The pre-registration ticket price is $99 and can be purchased here. In addition, a post-conference networking event for attendees will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and interested parties should contact Kelly Stickel at kelly@mobiu101.com or 312-371-9302.

"We're living and breathing mobile marketing on a daily basis, and thrilled that an event such as Mobile University is taking place in Chicago," said Jeff Judge, founder and CEO of mobile marketing technology provider Interactive Mediums and a director with the HMC. "Whether you're an SMB, a big brand or an agency, there is something for you at this event. And we're making it a lot more exciting than your average conference with several interactive mobile activities that will engage attendees and reinforce that mobile marketing is here now."
