MobileMonday Toronto Crowns Mobile Marketing Award Winner

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2009) - The competition was fierce but the judges made their selection for the winner of the 2009 MobileMonday Toronto Marketing Award. After a close race, with local Toronto area companies presenting mobile campaigns launched in the last year, the judging panel selected Addictive Mobility the winner based on their Brisk iPhone campaign. Addictive not only won the award for the event, but also a keynote speaking slot at Mobile Media World ( on September 15th.

The format for the event was based on live presentations by companies showcasing their mobile marketing campaigns or programs to the judging panel and MobileMonday Toronto audience. Judges and audience members were allowed to comment and ask questions about the campaign, results and key learning's, with final selection made by the judging panel. The event was emceed by noted digital strategist, Marina Mann and the judging panel included Michael Keefe, mobile consultant; Trina Boos, Founder, AdLounge; and Tasha Mazza-Kelton, Principal, Digital Cement.

Based on results shared by the selected entrants to this year's awards, agencies and brands could benefit in using mobile as a part of their overall communications strategy. All the companies did a fantastic job presenting and responding to questions from the judging panel and audience members" said Jim Brown and Alexander S. Bosika, co-founders of the MobileMonday Toronto chapter.

The September 8th event was held at the MaRS Discovery District located at 101 College Street. Since announcing the partnership with MaRS in February 2009, MobileMonday Toronto has experienced explosive growth with monthly attendance exceeding 250+ attendees and has received general appreciation for the chapter's approach in supporting all stakeholders within the mobile industry which includes telecom providers, agencies, advertisers, device manufacturers, startups, venture capital and developers in addition to many industry verticals such as search, m-commerce, advertising, and media.
