MobileMonday Toronto Hosts Canadian Mobile Operator Panel

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 6, 2010) -

Attention Business and Technology Editors

On December 6th, MobileMonday Toronto will host an open Mobile Operator panel with executive leaders from respective telecom providers. The discussion will focus on the state of the Canadian telecom industry, with topics ranging from competition and foreign ownership, to reflections on the last year and looking forward. Invitations were sent to leaders from each mobile telecom provider. Confirmed as participating are Alek Krstajic, CEO Public Mobile, and Anthony Lacavera, CEO Wind Mobile. Jeff Mucci, Publisher of RCR Wireless, will moderate the panel.

"As December 2010 marks the first full year of new competition in the Canadian market, with multiple wireless carriers competing fiercely for customers, it makes sense to step back and look at how the market developed and look to where it could be headed for 2011. It's an exciting time with new plans and offers, cool devices and creative marketing from each provider vying for the attention of Canadian consumers. Our goal is to help the community gain new perspective given that so much has happened in the Canadian marketplace over the last year," says Alexander S. Bosika and Jim Brown, co-founders of MobileMonday Toronto. "The quality of the panel reflects how important MobileMonday Toronto has become as a channel for the sharing of ideas and information at the local and national level on matters specific to the wireless industry."

MobileMonday Toronto would like to thank its sponsors for their financial support. Sponsors include the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, Marketwire, Miller Thomson LLP, Nokia, Rogers Communications Inc., Telus, Redknee, BDC and Wind Mobile.
