Mobius Photonics Names Manuel Martinez Vice President of Engineering

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 15, 2012) - Mobius Photonics, an innovative producer of short pulsed fiber laser sources (IR, UV and visible wavelengths), has appointed Manuel Martinez its Vice President of Engineering.

"Mr. Martinez has brought a new level of engineering discipline and structure to Mobius. His strengths in implementing stringent processes for product introductions and quality control, among others, have improved our products and our organization. He is a great asset to the company."

Martinez started with Mobius Photonics in 2009 and most recently served as the company's engineering manager. His accomplishments at Mobius include spearheading new product introductions and establishing the company's quality control program, including the root cause and corrective action procedures. He has also made significant contributions to the company's product designs. Prior to joining Mobius, Martinez was a staff engineer for KLA-Tencor. His previous positions also include staff mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company and senior mechanical engineer for Lightwave Electronics. Martinez earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
