Mocana to Demo Its Industrial IoT Security Platform Integrated with Dell's IoT Gateway at Dell EMC World 2017

IoT Security Leader Delivers Strong Security Solution on Purpose-built Dell Industrial Gateways

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 04, 2017) - Mocana Corporation, a leading provider of mission-critical IoT security solutions for industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, today announced that it will demonstrate its Dell-certified IoT Security Platform with a Dell Edge Gateway 5000 at Dell EMC World 2017. The Mocana solution is pre-integrated and tested to interoperate with applications running on the Dell Gateway. Mocana's software makes it easier for industrial and IoT companies to build strong security into gateways that aggregate IoT and industrial devices.

Mocana's software is used on more than 100 million industrial control and IoT devices. As device manufacturers seek to improve the security of industrial control systems, they require highly secure gateways to aggregate sensors, controllers and devices. Mocana has certified its software on the Dell Edge Gateway 5000 Series to ensure that IoT sensors and equipment are able to communicate securely to SCADA systems and industrial IoT clouds.

What: Demonstration of the Mocana IoT Security Platform with the Dell Edge Gateway 5000 Series will show:

  • How Mocana secures OTA provisioning and key management that is fully integrated with a secure hardware-based root of trust on the gateway
  • Increased access to hardware-based encryption applied to high-value data aggregation and edge analytics processes, running on the gateway
  • Mocana's ability to manage data transport encryption from the Dell gateway to Microsoft Azure IoT analytics cloud

When: 6:00-9:00pm PT May 8; 11:30am - 5:00pm PT, May 9-10, 2017

Where: Booth #1718, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Las Vegas

"The first quarter of 2017 has been very exciting for Mocana. We announced the GA release of our IoT Security Platform and also joined the EdgeX Foundry project, alongside Dell, as a Founding member -- both of which demonstrate our commitment to delivering strong IoT security and interoperability across multiple technologies and solution vendors," said William Diotte, CEO of Mocana. "The next phase of our full stack solution delivery is moving beyond securing IoT devices and to fortifying industrial gateways and industrial cloud infrastructure, and we're looking forward to demonstrating this new capability for joint customers."
