Mocana Joins Infineon Security Partner Network, Simplifies Integration of Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Chips Into IoT Devices

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - September 22, 2016) - Mocana, a leading provider of industrial-strength security technology for mission-critical IoT and industrial cloud systems, today announced that they have joined the Infineon Security Partner Network (ISPN). The ISPN is a network of leading security players who offer solutions around hardware-based security to IoT device manufacturers and service providers. Membership in the network will give Infineon's clients easier access to Mocana's trusted security solution and substantial security expertise, and grants Mocana a broader platform to showcase their advanced security software technology.

Mocana advances the ISPN mission by providing software tools that enable device and system manufacturers to incorporate and utilize Infineon's OPTIGA™ TPM (Trusted Platform Modules) in their products with minimal development effort. The OPTIGA TPM chips implement the standards defined by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG). TPMs are an essential component for devices used in mission-critical IoT applications. Mocana's NanoTAP™ Module provides a simplified interface to these hardware-based trust anchors and is pre-integrated with Mocana's NanoCrypto™ Module. The NanoCrypto Module provides a full suite of cryptographic functions and further simplifies development and hardens product designs. The NanoTAP and NanoCrypto Modules are key elements in Mocana's Security of Things Platform (SoTP™) suite, which provides a comprehensive software solution for implementing secure IoT devices and systems.

"Security is the top concern for organizations making and using IoT technology in mission-critical applications," said Mocana CEO, Bill Diotte. "As a hardware-based trust anchor, Infineon's OPTIGA chips build a powerful root of trust in embedded systems. With our SoTP software modules, Mocana is helping OEMs incorporate this key component into more products, faster, and with higher security. We're very pleased to be part of the ISPN and to work with Infineon to advance IoT security."
