Mochi Media Announces Global $10 Million Mochi GAME Developer Fund

Fund to Invest in Promising Flash and Social Game Developers to Support New Game Development

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 8, 2010) -  Today, Mochi Media and Shanda Games Limited, (NASDAQ: GAME), a leading online game developer, operator and publisher in China, announced the Mochi GAME Developer Fund, a $10 million fund that will help promising Flash and social game developers support their games through sponsorship, licensing and publishing deals. The fund will assist small Flash game development studios and independent game developers worldwide in building world-class games and businesses. The companies made the announcement today at Mochi Media's second annual Flash Gaming Summit, a conference focused on fostering the growth and success of the Flash game community.

The Mochi GAME Developer Fund is a joint effort between Mochi Media and its parent company, Shanda Games. The initiative will be managed by members of the management team of Mochi Media and Shanda Games. Through participation with the fund, developers will gain access to technical, design and testing resources from Shanda Games, as well as a host of development tools and distribution to nearly 40,000 websites globally from Mochi Media.

Initial investments from the fund could reach up to $100,000 per game title. The fund will have a longer-term vision of developing relationships with world-class Flash game developers for multi-game distribution deals.
