Mochi Media Announces Winners of 'Made For Mobile' Contest

Developer Contest Creates Games for Flash Player 10.1 on Android Mobile Platform


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - October 25, 2010) -  Today, Mochi Media announced the winners of the 'Made for Mobile' contest, which challenged game developers to create games to run in Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 for Android. Out of more than 100 submissions, the winners of the 'Made for Mobile' contest are (in order):

  • 1st place: Assembler 2 by Bryce Summer, winning $7,000 and Adobe CS5: Master Suite
  • 2nd place: TiltMatch by Jan Rigerl, winning $4,000 and Adobe CS5: Master Suite
  • 3rd place: Billy's Hill by Uncle Handsalt, winning $2,000 and Adobe CS5: Master Suite
  • Honorable Mention: Pigs on Ice by Gorjan Agacevic, winning $1,000
  • Honorable Mention: Pipe It by SHAJBY, winning $1,000

Representatives from Mochi Media and Adobe, as well as several veteran gaming journalists, evaluated the submissions and judged them based on aesthetics, usability, performance, creativity, and coding quality. The winning game developers will receive prizes and their games will be displayed on Mochi Media's mobile-optimized site MochiGames, with games playable at http://m.mochigames.com.

The "Made for Mobile" Contest followed the release of Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which allows games built using Flash technology to be played on the Android mobile platform. This contest served to showcase the innovative new gaming options that are available to Android mobile phone users.
