SouthBytes Film Competition Winners Gets Trip to Tribeca Film Festival

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Mar 11, 2011) - SXSW attendees have the chance to win a trip to the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival by submitting short videos on what they think are the coolest, wackiest, most beguiling, neatest, funniest things about the SXSW film, music or interactive festivals.

In today's era of micro media, everyone is their own personal mini-media empire, with distribution through their social channels and networks. In celebration of this micro-mogul world, MOFILM, the pioneer in "made-for-mobile" content, and Webtrends, the global leader in mobile and social analytics, have joined forces at SXSW to discover and develop the inner film-maker talent of attendees by hosting a video competition with celeb-worthy prizes: two trips to the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival in late April.

Attendees can upload their videos at www.south-bytes.com. For those without a camera, there are still other options to join and win: drop by the MOFILM stand at the Film Poster Gallery in the Convention Center and record your thoughts there, or grab one of the SouthBytes roving film crews to film and upload your spot, on the spot.

The competition runs from March 11 through March 17. The submissions must be quick and impactful -- ideally 20-40 seconds. SouthBytes submissions will be available for viewing during the week at www.south-bytes.com, and winners will be announced on Thursday afternoon on the site.
