Mohave Generating Station and Black Mesa Coal Slurry Project Revival Could Turn to Demolition

SUGAR LAND, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 5, 2007 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). Salt River Project (SRP), which had been spearheading the latest effort to revive the Mohave Generating Station, announced February 6, 2007 that it was no longer pursuing the project. On February 7, 2007, owner Southern California Edison (SCE), an Edison International (NYSE:EIX) company, which had pulled out of the project in June 2006, announced that it would continue to fund an Environmental Impact Study through the end of March 2007, while it courts potential buyers for the plant.
