Moldenhauer & Associates Financial Advisor and Founder Named to Ameritas Hall of Fame

ORCHARD PARK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2015) - Rich Moldenhauer, founder of Western New York financial and retirement planning firm Moldenhauer & Associates, is among this year's inductees to the Ameritas® Life Insurance Corp. Hall of Fame. Ameritas President and CEO JoAnn M. Martin presented Moldenhauer with his Hall of Fame award in Palm Springs, California, while his wife, four sons and grandchildren looked on. Since founding his firm in 1974, Moldenhauer has contributed his time as a mentor to financial professionals and by writing about insurance trends, blogging about estate planning and discussing financial services firm marketing. Moldenhauer's professional colleagues nominated him for the honor.

The Ameritas Hall of Fame was established in 1961 as the highest honor that a financial advisor can achieve with the company. The award recognizes financial advisors who, over the course of their careers, exhibit outstanding leadership qualities and have made significant professional contributions to their clients, their communities, the financial industry and Ameritas.

"Rich's dedication to helping colleagues and clients is how he's built a successful business over four decades," said Tom Burkhard, senior vice president and chief distribution officer for Ameritas. "But this is not a sales award. The Hall of Fame represents the pinnacle of our honors, and we welcome Rich because he embodies what the Hall's 77 inductees stand for: putting the success of clients first."

Moldenhauer is also a 12-year recipient of the Million Dollar Round Table's "Top of the Table" award for serving clients with exemplary performance and the highest standards of ethics, knowledge, service and productivity. According to MDRT, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, Top of the Table is also a forum for the world's most successful life insurance and financial professionals. Top of the Table members meet annually to exchange know-how and best practices; they also discuss issues of concern to their peers and clients.

"My business focus -- and the enjoyment I've gotten from it -- has always been about giving our clients sound financial planning ideas," said Moldenhauer. "After 40 years of doing business, you see a lot of financial trends and retirement planning ideas come and go. Putting clients first is an idea that always lasts."

Moldenhauer is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and served as a combat officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
