Dr. Duston earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan, VIASPACE added, and noted that his strong track record of technology transfer of military R&D has resulted in more than 350 commercial products brought to the market, traceable back to the military R&D his office at the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization funded.

Chiron Corp. (NASDAQ: CHIR)

Biotechnology company Chiron Corp. announced Friday that it has received a letter from the FDA that its Pulminiq treatment for lung transplant patients is approvable, but an additional study will be required. The company also announced Friday that it will cut its supply expectations for its flu vaccine Begrivac for the 2005-2006 season by about 8 million doses, and said that it might delay shipments until early October. Chiron also announced that the FDA is currently conducting a full inspection of Chiron's Liverpool facility, which manufactures FLUVIRIN influenza virus vaccine.

Global Environmental Energy Corp. (OTC BB: GEECF)

Global Environmental Energy Corp. announced Monday that its subsidiary Sahara Petroleum Exploration Corp. has entered into an Alliance Agreement with Chasewood Consortium, Ltd., to bid for oil and gas exploration rights under the 2005 Nigerian Licensing Round.

iBasis, Inc. (OTC BB: IBAS)

International long distance service, VoIP, and prepaid calling cards provider, iBasis, Inc., announced Monday that $19.9 million of the Company's debt has converted to equity through negotiated agreements with noteholders. The company said that overall, the notes have converted into approximately 10.8 million shares of iBasis common stock at the original conversion price of $1.85 per share.
