NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 7, 2014) - MongoDB today announced that it has been named "Database Management System of the Year" by DB-Engines, an online initiative to collect and present information about database management systems. In addition to faster adoption than any other database, MongoDB is also the highest ranked NoSQL database, and is now more popular than traditional systems, such as Microsoft Access, SQLite and Sybase, according to DB-Engines.
