Monterey County Saves Money with Xenos infoWEB Report
Distribution Solution; Document Distribution
Application Helps to Enable Improved Service Levels at
the Department of Social Services

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 22, 2005) - Xenos Group, Inc.
(TSX:XNS), the Data to e-Content Company™, today announced that
Monterey County, California has installed the Xenos infoWEB document
distribution application. The new implementation provides a
cost-effective and rapid solution that transfers information
electronically within government departments and helps to enable
improved social services throughout the county.

"Responsible for providing government IT services to California's
Monterey County, the Department of Information Technology was tasked
with providing more efficient and integrated methods for distributing
reports across all nine locations of the Department of Social Services
(DSS)," said Virgil Schwab, director of information technology at
Monterey County. "Previously, the DSS relied on paper-based information
that was first printed, then compiled and hand delivered via courier to
the appropriate location. This fragmented and manual process presented
significant challenges to effective communication between DSS offices,
which in turn, impacted the service levels to benefit participants."

Based on a referral from another California municipal government body,
Monterey County identified the Xenos infoWEB software as the best
solution for creating an electronic benefit distribution system that
could expedite the delivery of detailed reports and statistical
information to county employees. The ability to transform paper records
into electronic reports reduces the cost and time associated with paper
report distribution. Prior to this implementation, Monterey County was
printing 700,000 pages per month. Xenos infoWEB consolidates information
from incompatible systems and makes it available for Web viewing on
demand, reducing the need for printed reports, and thereby saving the
county over $100,000 per year in paper and toner supplies alone.

"The use of Xenos infoWEB within the County is growing through word of
mouth and the users are driving its adoption," said Schwab. "Because of
the rapid implementation and ease of use, the Xenos infoWEB solution has
quickly expanded to encompass additional documents associated with
welfare and child-care programs, Medi-Cal card benefits, general
assistance, school book documentation and transportation assistance
reports. We are extremely happy with the product solution and
professional services provided by Xenos. The Department of Social
Services intends to put all of its report information into Xenos

Xenos infoWEB enables Monterey County to extract, publish and
disseminate critical business reports across departments. It delivers
the information securely and quickly to any standard web browser,
allowing employees to view the information in a familiar environment.
Powerful search capabilities allow individuals to easily find particular
documents, or specific information within a report.

"The Department of Information Technology is committed to providing
strategic and cost-effective IT solutions to Monterey County," said
Richard Lange, manager of business information technology at Monterey
County. "The Xenos infoWEB solution is an example of an application that
maintains a balance between efficiency and effectiveness, improving data
integrity and security while streamlining access to information. Xenos
has improved our internal operations through automation and process
enhancement while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to client
demands for service and change."

Xenos infoWEB preserves Monterey County's existing IT infrastructure and
avoids the need for costly custom programming or system upgrades. Once
the county resolved how to move reports from the mainframe to the Xenos
infoWEB server, the initial implementation for Monterey County was
completed in about a week.

"The present economic climate is putting more pressure on local
governments to enhance productivity while controlling costs. IT
departments must do more with less and continue to extract value from
existing investments," said Bill Kurtz, vice president of sales at
Xenos. "The Xenos infoWEB solution has a rapid return on investment and
provides Monterey County employees with the information they require to
make informed decisions, respond quickly and provide exceptional service
to case benefit participants."
