Monticello Associates Celebrates Ten Years in Cleveland

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2013) - Monticello Associates, Inc., one of the country's leading asset management consulting firms, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Cleveland office.

Denver-based Monticello -- which was founded over 20 years ago by B. Grady Durham -- provides non-discretionary investment advisory services to endowments, foundations, and high net worth families. The Cleveland office was opened in 2003 by Pat Sullivan, now a Managing Director for the firm.

According to Mr. Durham, Mr. Sullivan and the Cleveland office have been influential in Monticello's success.

"I consider the Cleveland office to be a perfect complement to what we do in Denver," says Mr. Durham, "which is no small feat given the geographical separation. I am particularly proud of the job Pat and his team have done putting the Monticello philosophy into practice."

Last month, Monticello announced the promotion of Brian P. Harrigan, CFA, CPA, who joined the Cleveland office in 2008, to a Managing Director and shareholder with the firm.

"For those of us who prefer developing long-term relationships with our clients, the Monticello structure is nearly perfect," says Mr. Sullivan. "We have purposely remained a niche player in the investment consulting community, which, in my mind, is the only effective way we can achieve our clients' investment objectives."

As a firm, Monticello provides highly specialized, research-driven services to many prominent museums, hospitals, schools, and families in the United States. Named after the Virginia home of Thomas Jefferson, the company provides a variety of asset management consulting services, including developing investment policies and objectives, analyzing asset allocation and diversification, researching investment managers for client selection, providing due diligence, and performance monitoring of managers.
