Montoro-Belmont Completes Airborne Survey on Its Central Mineral Belt-Uranium Properties

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 12, 2006) - Further to our news release of September 20,2006, International Montoro Resources Inc. ("IMT") (TSX VENTURE:IMT)(FWB:O4T) and Belmont Resources Inc. ("BEA") (TSX VENTURE:BEA)(FWB:L3L) (Montoro-Belmont JV) are pleased to announce the completion of an airborne survey as recommended in its NI 43-101 Report on the recently acquired Stormy Lake and Partridge River claims. The two properties total 32.0 square km. (128 claims), and constitute the Companies' Central Mineral Belt ("CMB") uranium projects. They are located 95 km NW and 165 km WNW, respectively, from Goose Bay, Labrador.

Fugro Airborne Surveys has recently completed 411 line kilometers of a helicopter-borne high resolution magnetic and radiometric survey in the Seal Lake area. The 411-line km of data was acquired using a Cs-vapour magnetometer and dual Nal crystal packs for gamma-ray spectrometry. The low altitude and low survey speed of the helicopter-borne system provides the highest possible resolution and sensitivity in an airborne survey. The spectrometry will directly detect any near-surface uranium deposit or increase in the concentration of uranium, and measure changes in concentration of natural radioelements for geological mapping. The magnetic survey is a highly effective method for mapping geology and geological structure.

The full technical report is available online at

The Stormy Lake claims are adjacent to one of Aurora Energy Resources Inc. ("AXU") western claim blocks which has reported a uranium showing. The Companies are very pleased to see the commitment by Aurora Energy to further exploration in the CMB as reported in their recent news release of a $40 million financing and are watching closely for any nearby activity. The Stormy Lake claims are also adjacent to the large land position held by Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corp. ("CXX") and its southern zone which also contains reported uranium showings.

The Partridge River claims are in the most western extension of the CMB and adjacent to one the largest land packages being assembled through joint ventures by Universal Uranium Ltd. ("UUL") -see September 13/06 news release, Silver Spruce Resources Inc. ("SSE")-see September 12/06 news release, and Tripple Uranium Resources. Universal Uranium can earn interests in the Silver Spruce and Tripple Uranium claims by expending approx. $3.05 million on exploration over the next three years in the CMB.

The Companies are awaiting the survey results from Fugro to determine their next course of activity in the Central Mineral Belt-Uranium District, Labrador.
