Montoro Completes 1st Phase Drilling-Elliot Lake

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2007) - Further to our news release of September 24, 2007 International Montoro Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:IMT)(FRANKFURT:O4T) ("IMT"), announces that Forage Orbit Garant Drilling of Val-D'or, Quebec has completed the 1st phase diamond drilling program for a total of 2755 metres of nq drilling in 16 holes as recommended in the NI 43-101 compliant Technical Report (the "Report") on its Elliot Lake uranium properties, more commonly known as the Serpent River property ("Serpent") in northern Ontario, authored by Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. ("Scott Wilson RPA") dated March 20, 2007.

In the Pecors Channel (the west side of the property), 2134 metres were drilled in 12 holes, to better define the mineralized zone outlined by previous companies. An additional 4 holes totalling 621 metres were drilled in the Whiskey Channel (on the east side of the property), designed to verify the extension of the channel. Assay results have been exceptionally slow in coming this year because of backlogs at the laboratories. Plotting and compiling of these assays is in progress and detailed results will be released when sufficient sample results have been reviewed, evaluated and analysis is completed.

During the drill program enhanced levels of radioactivity (detected by scintillometer) were encountered in three different environments.

1) Pyritic quartz pebble conglomerate (QPC) beds

2) Aplite dikes and sills

3) Mineralized, highly altered heterolithic breccia at or near the unconformity

QPC beds were intersected over core lengths ranging from 0.46 to 7.65 metres. This is the same type of mineralization that was mined in the past at Elliot Lake. The best assay so far from this material was from hole P-07-04 that returned an intercept grading 0.036% U over a core length of 1.26 metres including 0.08% U over 0.20 metres.

Aplite dikes and sills were often intersected near the unconformity. Some were mineralized with disseminated pyrite and they exhibited enhanced levels of radioactivity. Hole P-10 cut an aplite breccia dike that returned an intercept grading .04% U over 2.48 metres including an intersection of 0.17% U over 0.28 metres.

Some of the holes intersected a highly altered (chlorite, biotite, sericite) and mineralized, unsorted, heterolithic breccia at or near the unconformity between the Huronian sediments and the older Archean basement. These rocks contained 1% to 75% disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite and they exhibited the highest levels of radioactivity (as measured by scintillometer) of any rock units intersected to date. The most significant intersection occurred in hole P-07-02 where this unit was intersected over a core length of 15.96 metres (97.14 to 113.10 meters) and 11.5 metres (122.5 - 134.0 metres). Holes P-07-01, P-07-06 and P-07-09 also cut similar altered and mineralized rocks exhibiting enhanced levels of radioactivity over core lengths of 8.75, 8.08 and 19.81 metres respectively. The intersections from these holes occur near an east-west trending fault zone over a strike length of about 700 metres and the zone is open in both directions.

The alteration and mineralization of this breccia unit suggests that it formed a permeable horizon that facilitated the flow of hydrothermal fluids possibly carrying uranium. Sulphide mineralization in the breccia may have acted as a reductant that precipitated the uranium from the hydrothermal fluids. We believe that this represents a new style of mineralization not previously recognized in the Elliot Lake area and it is a significant target upon which to focus additional exploration.

The Company is encouraged that the results obtained thus far may confirm the (pre 43-101) historical resource that Rio Algom outlined. Rio Algom estimated the Pecors East Zone contained an indicated resource of 20 million tons grading 0.037% (0.74 lbs./t) U308 or 14.8 million lbs. U308 based on limited drilling and has the potential to expand the zone through additional drilling.

The resource estimate cited above predates and therefore does not confirm to the more stringent reporting requirements on National Instrument 43-101 and should not be relied upon according to those standards. IMT is not treating the historical estimates as a current mineral reserve or resource.

The Company's exploration work on the Serpent property is supervised by D. Hawke, M.Sc., P.Geo., consulting geologist and a qualified person as defined in NI 43-101. Drill core is being transported from the drill sites by company personnel to a secure offsite storage area for logging and splitting. Split drill core samples are being transported by commercial carrier to Activation Laboratories in Ancaster, Ontario. Activation is accredited to the ISO 17025 standard and CAN-P-1579 standards. Assay results will be reported as soon as they are received and compiled by the Company.

The Serpent River property is located about 13 kilometres east of the town of Elliot Lake on the south limb of the Quirke syncline and covers approximately 4,000 m of the contact between the Matinenda Formation and the underlying basement rocks. The Elliot Lake mining camp was once known as "the Uranium Capital of the World" and has produced more than 270 million pounds of U308 from stratigraphically-bound deposits that demonstrate remarkable consistency over extensive areas.
