Montreal Alouettes: Bring Your Non-Perishable Food Items to Tackle Hunger

The Annual Players' Wives Initiative Continues With Purolator

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 20, 2006) - Since 2003, the Montreal Alouettes' Players' Wives Association organizes an annual food drive to help the needy from the Greater Montreal Region.

Before Saturday's game (3 p.m. vs Edmonton at Olympic Stadium), the players' wives will help the Purolator and Sun Youth volunteers collect non-perishable food items and cash donations at the rotunda.

This year, Purolator is getting involved and will reward everyone making a donation with a coupon that will give them a chance to have their picture taken with the Grey Cup.

The Alouettes encourage all fans to be generous on Als' Fan Day at Olympic Stadium.
