Montreal Declaration on Sexual Health to be Released

World Association for Sexual Health to Release the Montreal Declaration on 'Sexual Health for the Millennium' Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Health/Medical Editor MONTREAL--(CCNMatthews - July 14, 2005) - On July 15, 2005, at the XVII World Congress of Sexology, the World Association of Sexual Health (WAS) will release the Montreal Declaration on "Sexual Health for the Millennium"(the Declaration). The promotion of sexual health is critical to sustainable development, the eradication of poverty, and the advancement of basic human rights. The goal of the Declaration is to encourage governments, international agencies, the private sector, and academic institutions to prioritize and integrate sexual health into any and all sustainable development goals, international agreements, and to be fully integrated into the work aimed at achieving the landmark Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.
