MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 26, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions and Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today joined the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, in announcing funding for the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.

The support from Canada Economic Development, provided for the Festival's 2015 and 2016 editions, has been awarded in the form of a $1,374,750 non-repayable contribution through the Quebec Economic Development Program for the implementation of an international commercialization strategy.
