Montreal's Leading Boards Embarks on a Major Expansion in Europe

Leading Boards' success now extends beyond North America and into Europe, driven by cutting-edge technology and a partnership with governance solutions specialist Equity

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 6, 2014) - Leading Boards, a company that offers a secure, user-friendly portal for managing "paperless" boards and committees, has made a major breakthrough into the European market. Since the spring of 2013, a number of European companies, many of which have annual revenues in the billions of dollars, have adopted the Leading Boards portal. These companies have chosen Leading Boards to improve the security, efficiency and governance of their boards and committees.

In order to strengthen its presence in the European market, Leading Boards formed a partnership with the French company Equity. As a result of Equity's stability and reputation as a leading provider of governance and legal management solutions for large corporations, Leading Boards has added well-known companies to its clientele, including the multinational VINCI, Eutelsat (Europe's leading satellite operator) and Eurazeo (one of Europe's leading listed investment companies). In Quebec and the rest of Canada, Leading Boards solutions are used by more than a hundred major organizations in the public and private sectors, including the University of Montreal, Investissement Québec, Familiprix and Montréal International.

A tried and tested solution, the Leading Boards portal provides a secure virtual workspace that collects the information required for meetings: agendas, minutes, records, organizational policies, financial statements, etc. Users can access the information and take notes around the clock from anywhere in the world, with a few clicks on a computer or iPad, even without an Internet connection. Since board members travel to or live in different countries, the transmission of board-related documents is highly secure, as documents stored on the portal are encrypted. In addition, the documents are hosted on ISO 27001 certified servers installed in the country where the client is located, so that they are not governed by foreign regulations.

"The interest European and North American companies are showing in our product demonstrates the need for a simple, reliable system for the digitization and organization of boards and committee, regardless of the country where the organization is located," said Leading Boards President & CEO Jean-Marc Félio.

In the coming months, Leading Boards will pursue its expansion in Quebec, Canada and France. In 2015, the company will also market its products in Belgium and Germany.
